Guy Kidnapped in the Car Boot

Text on the meme

to the guy who kidnapped me and put me in his car boot

What it means

A young man films himself in a mirror, then the video cuts to a dark car interior where his face appears to be visible through the back. The caption addresses the person who supposedly kidnapped him and put him in the car boot, while the slowed, dreamy Glass Animals song “Heat Waves” makes the absurd situation feel oddly melancholic and dramatic. It works as a surreal reaction meme about being trapped or helpless in an exaggerated way.
