I've visited this subreddit a few times because I always believed it was about working hard and being compensated fairly. I thought it was about citizens seeking livable wages, higher income, slightly less hours, more benefits, etc... Then I went through the mod's comment history and saw that she's complaining that working 20 hours (it's actually 10 based on her own comments) a week is too much. That walking 2 hours a day (fucking dog walking) 5 days a week was too taxing. What an absolute joke. How is this even logical? Its always the same for these type of groups. Its never enough. Exactly. I think your initial impression is far more accurate for what the group as a whole stands for. This interview was an extremely bad representation for the group I walk almost 2 hours a day but that's not my entire shift. I'm also a full-time student and I have another part-time job. I just don't mention that in the interview because he didn't ask me any of that. All he asked me was what I did for a living and I told him that I do dog walking for about 20 to 25 hours a week which is true. I'm also a full-time student and I have another part-time job that I do want to need basis. But ultimately it doesn't matter how much I work because we should all be striving to work as little as possible That's the whole point of the movement.
What it means

A screenshot of a Reddit discussion about a work-related movement. One commenter criticizes the moderator for allegedly treating 20 hours of work—and even dog walking for two hours a day—as excessive, while another explains that they are also a student and have another job. The joke is the contradiction between advocating for working as little as possible and presenting that attitude as a serious social movement.
