Taiwan and Tiananmen Silence
you say "Taiwan is a country" upon being asked you say what happened at Tiananmen Square in 1989
A four-panel meme shows a grim, shadowy face beside images of Taiwan and Tiananmen Square. The joke is that someone confidently acknowledges Taiwan as a country but becomes silent when asked about the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, mocking selective political censorship and evasiveness. It is sent as a reaction to hypocrisy or politically sensitive denial. EN: A four-panel meme shows a grim, shadowy face beside images of Taiwan and Tiananmen Square.
