Joker's Date Goes Horribly Wrong

Text on the meme

Getting ready to go on a date with my girlfriend Took my girlfriend to the mall today Me and my girlfriend are being interrogated Bought my girlfriend some flowers (we committed a war crime) WHO THE FUCK IS THIS? 😡

What it means

A Joker-like man spends the clip presenting an anime girl as his girlfriend: he prepares for a date, takes her to the mall, faces interrogation, and gives her flowers. The joke escalates when the anime girlfriend is revealed to be another man’s bizarre cardboard cutout or edited companion, prompting Joker’s furious “WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?” reaction, followed by bleak shots of him in despair. The montage is set to Gotye’s melancholic “Somebody That I Used to Know” (Bibio Remix), whose wistful electronic mood makes the absurd relationship betrayal feel dramatically tragic.
