A 59-second black-and-white anime-style video follows a girl waking up, enjoying a smog-free morning, receiving a call from a girl, taking a tiny Fiat-like “drop top,” checking the road for trouble, gathering a group of anime homies, and finishing with a dramatic basketball triple-double. The captions adapt the lyrics of Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day,” while the increasingly absurd anime visuals and basketball finale turn the song’s laid-back perfect-day fantasy into a reaction meme about having an improbably great day.
