Laughing at the Wrong Time
My dad died recently and my mom said “I don’t know how I’m going to cope with this” and I chuckled because she said cope.
A text post describes someone laughing after their mother says she does not know how to cope with the recent death of the narrator’s father. The punchline is a childish wordplay reaction to the word “cope,” paired with an unsettlingly cheerful pixelated clown face, making the humor intentionally inappropriate and dark.
