Straight Up Gay

Text on the meme

you are gay I'm not gay I'm straight straight up gay

What it means

A dark-mode text conversation shows someone calling another person gay, followed by the denial “I'm not gay I'm straight.” The reply “straight up gay” creates a wordplay punchline, then cuts to a smug image of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. It is used as a reaction to teasing someone whose denial seems to confirm the joke.

Who

Patrick Bateman (Патрик Бейтман), American Psycho
