Changing Political Views by Memes

Text on the meme

ME CHANGING MY POLITICAL VIEWS Authoritarian Left Authoritarian Right Libertarian Left Libertarian Right BASED ON THE LAST FUNNY BASED MEME I SAW

What it means

A small cartoon creature rapidly moves around a four-quadrant political compass, switching between authoritarian and libertarian left- and right-wing positions. The joke is that the person’s political views change according to whichever funny meme they saw most recently, making their ideology completely arbitrary. The clip is set to TK from 凛として時雨’s dramatic alternative-rock song “unravel,” whose intense, emotional mood humorously overstates this trivial political identity crisis.
