A man in a purple shirt earnestly explains a handwritten statistical argument about the population of Asia, using a quartile diagram and then a Gaussian normal-distribution chart. The joke is that he tries to refute the stereotype that all Asian people are above average at math with increasingly elaborate, questionable mathematics, ending by invoking the normal distribution. I am sick of people assuming that all Asian people are above average in math. I mean literally doesn't make any sense. Because if there are 4.7 billion Asian people in the world and a total population of 7.9 billion and then you divided those two numbers, you'd see that there are 59.5% of the world being Asian and by definition average is the middle 50th percentile. So in order to be above average, you have to be in the top 25% and you can't fit 60% of the world into 25%. And if you assume the Gaussian normal distribution,
