What it means

A young person takes a selfie while making an irreverent hand gesture, next to a black-and-white image of a stern Catholic bishop. The caption jokes that people reported them to their Catholic school for being “homophobic,” only for the school to agree with them, creating an absurdly deadpan reaction.
