Speedrun Cheating Argument
IF YOU HAVE TO USE GLITCHES TO BEAT THE GAME YOU ARE CHEATING! A SPEEDRUN SHOULD CONSIST OF BEATING THE GAME THE FASTEST WAY POSSIBLE WHILE STILL FOLLOWING THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED! GLITCHING OUT OF BOUNDS TO ACTIVATE THE CREDITS IN THE FIRST 30 SECONDS ISN'T A SPEEDRUN ITS CHEATING!
Patrick Bateman angrily argues that using glitches and going out of bounds to finish a game quickly is cheating, not a legitimate speedrun. The joke mocks gatekeeping in speedrunning and is used as an exaggerated reaction to someone exploiting glitches or breaking the intended rules.
