Berlin Buildings Marked With Stars
As part of an intimidation campaign, some people in Berlin have started marking the buildings where Jews live
A photo shows the entrance to a Berlin apartment building marked with a Star of David. The joke is dark and ironic: the symbol is presented as an intimidation marking, evoking the forced marking and persecution of Jews under Nazi Germany, while the image itself resembles a contemporary social-media news post.
