The Ten Principles of Economics
The Ten Principles of Economics 1. People would rather die than give you one red cent 2. The only thing countries should trade are diseases and Bombs 3. Never buy anything someone wants to sell - If someone is selling something, that means they are trying to get rid of it. Almost certainly it is broken 4. Never sell anything someone wants to buy - If they want to buy it, it means you are selling your broken item for too cheap. They are trying to make a fool out of you 5. An economy can be clogged like a toilet 6. An economy can be blown up like a building 7. Wherever supply and demand are meeting, insert yourself firmly between them and tell each lies about the other 8. Invest in the Market and you will never see your money again 9. But invest in Bedtime, and you will never be a sleepyhead 10. Remember the Righteous man is worth billions of dollars to Heaven
A parody list titled “The Ten Principles of Economics” appears above a chaotic medieval painting. The fake principles humorously reverse or distort basic economic ideas, portraying trade, markets, supply and demand, and investment as dangerous, foolish, or absurd. The final line adds a religious punchline by claiming that the Righteous man is worth billions of dollars to Heaven, making the image useful as a sarcastic reaction to bad financial advice or economics jokes.
