The Destroyer of Worlds

A FEW PEOPLE LAUGHED MOST PEOPLE WERE SILENT THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS

A small dog or animal wanders and rolls around a grimy parking lot beneath parked cars, intercut with dramatic close-ups of a solemn man and apocalyptic imagery. The captions parody the famous “A few people laughed, few people cried, most people were silent” description associated with the Trinity test, treating the harmless animal’s chaotic movement as the destroyer of worlds. Christian Gaubert’s melancholic classical film music makes the mundane scene feel absurdly monumental, so the clip works as a dramatic reaction meme for an unexpectedly destructive or overhyped moment.
