Werther's Original

What it means

A close-up of an elderly face shows two different candies reflected in the eyes, while the open hands below offer the same choice: colorful fruit candy or Werther's Original. The joke treats choosing Werther's as an unmistakable sign of becoming old-fashioned or elderly, with a visual nod to The Matrix's choice motif.
