Girl Sends Parrot to Heaven

Emirates FLY BETTER

A young woman in a black Emirates shirt adjusts her hair and poses beside a large black bird, then the clip cuts to a green parrot ascending toward heaven through clouds. The absurd transition treats the parrot as an answer arriving “from out the sky,” making the solemn lyric from Steve Edwards, Bob Sinclar & Sly & Robbie’s “World Hold On” humorously overdramatic. It works as a reaction to someone invoking truth, divine judgment, or an unexpectedly dramatic exit.
