1800s vs 2023 Pug and Anime Girl

Text on the meme

1800s pug 2023s pug 1800s anime girl 2023s anime girl

What it means

A four-panel comparison shows an old-fashioned pug and anime girl from the 1800s alongside their supposedly modern 2023 versions. The joke exaggerates how both pugs and anime girls have become cuter, softer, and more stylized over time, using anachronistic labels for comedic effect.
