Lesbian Dating App Matches

Text on the meme

These are just a few of the “matches” on my friend’s lesbian dating app. Remember when words used to mean things? Zachary, 33 She/her, He/him Naomi, 46 She/her Anna, 42 She/her Claire, 35 She/her Mira, 35 They/them

What it means

A parody dating-app screenshot shows a woman’s lesbian matches alongside several visibly male or gender-ambiguous people, including profiles labeled Zachary and Naomi. The joke is that the app’s matching or gender categories are being used so loosely that the word “lesbian” seems meaningless, making it a sarcastic reaction to bizarre dating-app matches.
