BISMARK FIELDS OF VERDUN A GHOST IN THE TRENCHES

What it means

A three-panel collage from Smeshariki depicts the characters in playful military scenes labeled “BISMARK,” “FIELDS OF VERDUN,” and “A GHOST IN THE TRENCHES.” The joke contrasts cheerful children’s-cartoon imagery with grim World War I references, making it useful as an absurd reaction to chaotic conflict or an unexpectedly dark situation.
