Comparing Politics to Fiction and Games

Text on the meme

COMPARING CONTEMPORARY POLITICS TO Harry Potter AND STAR WARS COMPARING CONTEMPORARY POLITICS TO DEUS EX GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION AND METAL GEAR SOLID 2 SONS OF LIBERTY

What it means

A two-panel political comparison meme pairs contemporary politics with Harry Potter and Star Wars in the first panel, then with Deus Ex and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty in the second. The joke is that modern politics can be interpreted through familiar fictional conflicts, conspiracies, surveillance, ideology, and philosophical debates, with the video games offering a more cynical and intellectually complex comparison. It is shared as a reaction to political discourse that feels absurd, dystopian, or steeped in hidden agendas.
