Christmas Tree Cannon

so this is a christmas tree cannon and it's there to shoot christmas trees and the sense behind that ? I ask myself that too

A rural news clip shows a man standing beneath a huge homemade cannon while a projectile is fired across a field. English subtitles explain that the device shoots Christmas trees, then humorously admit that even the interviewer questions its purpose. The clip is used as an absurd reaction to pointless or overly elaborate ideas. EN: A rural news clip shows a man standing beneath a huge homemade cannon while a projectile is fired across a field. Ja, ist da so eine Weihnachtsbaumkanone und die ist dafür da, um Weihnachtsbaum abzuschießen. Und der Sinn dahinter? Frage ich mich auch.
