Big Boys Update Their Coins

Text on the meme

Big boys hold in their tears and update their expired coins

What it means

A hand humorously replaces the portrait on an old coin with a cutout of King Charles III, turning expired coins into newly “updated” ones. The caption jokes that “big boys” suppress their tears while performing an absurdly serious coin makeover. Michael Andrews & Gary Jules’ melancholic alternative-rock cover of “Mad World” makes the tiny craft project feel dramatically sad and ironic, fitting the clip as a reaction to emotional overreactions or pointless upgrades.
