You Are Never Alone

you are never alone

A black, hooded figure walks toward the camera through a field, followed by eerie close-ups of flowers, glowing eyes in a dark doorway, a pale face, and a shadowy figure moving through a house. The reassuring caption becomes creepy and ironic: “you are never alone” means something terrifying is always lurking nearby. Frankie Valli’s romantic, upbeat pop song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” makes the horror imagery even more absurd and unsettling.
