Pepe and His Dream Girl

AUTISM IS MY SUPER POWER HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN

What it means

An animated Pepe the Frog and a smiling brown-haired girl go on a romantic montage: they eat together, ride a horse, travel by train, cuddle in a diner, celebrate under lanterns, and watch the sunset. The opening image of a crying Pepe turns into an exaggerated fantasy of companionship, making the clip a bittersweet reaction to loneliness and unrequited longing. MGMT’s “Little Dark Age” adds a nostalgic, melancholic synth-pop mood that makes the romantic montage feel both sincere and absurd.
