Buying the Game Supports Russia

How come that everyone is hyping the game that is romanticizing Soviet union in 2022 with russian singer featuring the trailer. I'm not even mentioning russian developer that didn't make any statements after 24-th of February. Hey man it's a game. That's all I really care about Well, that's the problem: buying the game made by russians = supporting russia and genocide in Ukraine with your money. Playing the game that is showing "the beauty of Soviet union" = normalizing all the horrible things they did.

A Twitter exchange shows one person criticizing a video game for romanticizing the Soviet Union and featuring a Russian singer, while another dismisses the concerns by saying it is just a game. The final reply argues that buying and playing the game financially supports Russia and normalizes Soviet atrocities. It is used as a sarcastic or confrontational reaction to debates about separating art from politics.
