Autism Spectrum Staircase

People think Autism Spectrum is like this: Low- Functioning High- Functioning But it's NOT. It's more like this: 1 2 3 4 5

The meme contrasts the common misconception that autism is a simple linear spectrum from low- to high-functioning with a staircase showing several distinct levels or presentations. Cartoon cat characters climb the numbered steps, humorously suggesting that autistic traits and support needs are varied and multidimensional rather than ranked on one line.
