Queen Victoria: Hollywood vs Reality
Queen Victoria, according to Hollywood: Keep fighting the Patriarchy, Qween! Amen, sister! Queen Victoria, in reality: Keep fighting the Patriarchy, Qween! Why are you speaking without a husband present?
The meme contrasts a feminist Hollywood portrayal of Queen Victoria with a historical portrait suggesting a strict Victorian attitude toward women speaking without their husbands. The joke mocks Hollywood’s tendency to modernize historical figures and project contemporary feminist ideals onto them.
