Scotland Teaches LGBTQ+ History

Text on the meme

Scotland becomes the first country to make teaching LGBTQ+ history in schools mandatory

What it means

A pride parade with rainbow flags and balloons is shown above a medieval-looking man lying in bed, visibly distressed and apparently screaming. The juxtaposition treats the news about mandatory LGBTQ+ history lessons as an unbearably shocking event, using exaggerated horror for an anti-progressive reaction. The clip is sent as an absurd reaction to express outrage or disbelief.
