Tar-Míriel Beauty Comparison

Text on the meme

"[She] was a WOMAN OF GREAT BEAUTY, SMALLER THAN WERE MOST WOMEN OF THAT LAND, WITH BRIGHT EYES..." "Tar-Míriel the Queen, FAIRER THAN SILVER OR IVORY OR PEARLS." - JRR Tolkien ~ TOLKIEN ~

What it means

The meme compares an idealized illustration of Tar-Míriel, described by Tolkien as exceptionally beautiful, with her live-action portrayal in Amazon's The Rings of Power. The joke mocks the perceived difference between Tolkien's poetic description and the show's casting and presentation, making it useful as a sarcastic reaction to disappointing adaptations.
