Miyazaki Hates The Beatles

Text on the meme

My favorite band is the Beatles. The world if your favourite band is the Beatles: i fucking hate the beatles. The world if you fucking hate the Beatles: Hayao Miyazaki

What it means

The meme contrasts a chaotic, disturbing psychedelic world with a beautiful peaceful landscape. The joke is that Hayao Miyazaki says he hates The Beatles, so his imagined world is portrayed as idyllic rather than nightmarish. It is used as an ironic reaction to express strong dislike for something while joking that the outcome is actually better.
