Cake Wants to Be Eaten
OH BOY, I CAN'T WAIT TO BE EATEN! WHY WON'T YOU LET ME DIE?!
A cheerful anthropomorphic slice of cake lies on a plate and eagerly waits to be eaten, but a hand only removes part of it, leaving the cake alive and distressed. The joke is an exaggerated reaction to being spared when one desperately wants an unpleasant situation to end, often used for darkly absurd or self-deprecating reactions.
