Jesus Plays Ground Control to Major Tom

*jesus picks up bread* this is my body *jesus picks up wine* this is my blood *jesus picks up guitar* this is Ground Control to Major Tom

Jesus, depicted in a classical religious style, sits outdoors playing an electric guitar. The joke combines Christian communion phrases with lyrics from David Bowie's “Space Oddity,” turning Jesus into a musician making an unexpectedly cosmic reference. It is used as an absurd reaction to someone dramatically picking up a guitar or changing the mood of a situation.
