British Seen by Americans and Europeans
The British as seen by Americans The British as seen by Europeans
A two-panel comparison shows impeccably dressed British men having tea in an elegant room, followed by a chaotic street scene with police restraining people and a man lying on the pavement. The joke contrasts the idealized American image of polite, refined British people with the Europeans’ stereotype of disorderly, drunken British tourists.
