Anime Character Dies, Dog Cries

Text on the meme

This girl's favorite anime character died. She was so heartbroken that she "How come you died?"

What it means

A TikTok-style video begins with a close-up of a girl wearing oversized glasses, then shows her lying beside an anime character image and asking, “How come you died?” The joke cuts to an animated black-and-white dog reacting dramatically, riding in a car, and crying as if it shares her grief. TV Girl’s dreamy, melancholic song “Loving Machine” makes the exaggerated heartbreak feel simultaneously sad and absurd.
