Apple Audio Message Expiration Options
I would have loved to witness the conversation between the apple pm and engineer that led to these two options for audio message expiration Messages Expire After 2 Minutes After 1 Year When you send or listen to an audio message, it will automatically be removed from your conversation history after 2 minutes.
A screenshot shows Apple’s audio-message expiration settings with only two choices: after 2 minutes or after 1 year. The joke is that the options are absurdly far apart, suggesting an oddly dramatic product-management decision. People share it as a reaction to unintuitive software design or extreme either-or choices.
