Pay a Fee to Apply for Jobs
Am I insensitive to the world if I think people should pay a small fee ($20?) to apply for a job, as a means to prevent an overwhelming quantity of under qualified or mismatched submissions?
A social media post asks whether job applicants should pay a $20 fee to apply, supposedly to reduce the number of underqualified or mismatched submissions. The joke is the absurdly insensitive suggestion that unemployed people should pay for the privilege of being considered for work, making it a reaction to exploitative hiring practices and out-of-touch corporate thinking.
