United Balkans Should Unite

United Balkans The Balkans should unite into an empire called Balkania. It would be unstoppable: - 70 MILLION people - The SEVENTH largest GDP in Europe - MOUNTAINS WHY DO THE I MEAN, I CAN'T REMEMBER ANY LIKE, HAVE SO MUCH JUST CALL IT SERBIA, DISAGREEING WITH ANY HAPPEN. IT JUST MAKES SENSE.

A bearded bald man speaks emphatically in front of a map of Europe with the Balkans highlighted in green. He earnestly argues that the Balkan countries should unite into an empire called Balkania, claiming they would have 70 million people, the seventh-largest GDP in Europe, and mountains, then absurdly suggests calling the whole thing Serbia. The joke comes from his confidently ignorant dismissal of the region’s complicated history and conflicts, delivered as a fast-paced talking-head video with emphatic gestures and background music. Why do the Balkans not just unite into one big, like, Balkania? Like, it just simply makes more sense. I mean, I can't really think of any real political or historical reason for that. I mean, I can't remember any, like, conflict in that region. And I think that it would just benefit everyone. I mean, I feel like that they would have so much more in common if they just combined and they could even make it even easier. They could all just call it Serbia just to make it simple. I don't I don't see anyone in that region disagreeing with any of those choices. But shit. Hawkins, make this happen. It just makes sense.
