Stop Using Sex in Connector Language
STOP USING SEX IN CONNECTOR LANGUAGE!!! Connector MALE FEMALE TOP BOTTOM USE HOLY 'TOP' and 'BOTTOM' alternatives INSTEAD OF FAKE GENDERS TOP Male BOTTOM Female
A humorous diagram shows electrical connectors labeled “male” and “female,” with those terms crossed out and replaced by “top” and “bottom.” The joke satirizes debates about gendered language by treating connector terminology as if it were a moral or political issue, making it useful as an absurd reaction to calls for renaming familiar terms.
