Hunting Engine Blocks

>I don't see why you need a military grade marksman sniper rifle in 50 BMG >I didn't know people hunt engine blocks now I seriously hate people who think guns are here for hunting and sporting. Like, how effective do you think it would be if I held up a store with a 20 pound rifle? And no, I'm not hunting engine blocks. I'm shooting fucking targets and having fun, that's a thing you can do with guns. >I'm not hunting engine blocks Why the fuck not? >be hunting with dad >out in Montana >got the trusty old m107 Barret >been following this oil trail for hours now >suddenly hear a purring >we stop and scan the area >we see it >a whole herd of engines >v8's, v6's, hemmys, fucking everything >suddenly spot this good one >has to be a 12 cylinder >take 10 minutes setting up the bipod >lay down, take aim >pull the trigger, bang >miss that high carburetor >oil and antifreeze goes everywhere >only suffer minor shoulder displacement >wounds, cuts and bruises all over body from dirt and rocks that rained down when I shot. >dad was so proud >pic kind of related, not the one I shot obviously >what a majestic beast

EN: A 4chan screenshot shows people arguing about why a shooter needs a .50 BMG rifle: he claims he shoots targets for fun, while another anonymous poster asks why he does not hunt engine blocks. The reply is an absurd story about hunting a “herd” of engines in Montana with a Barrett M107, presented like a heroic big-game hunt. The meme is used as a reaction to an overly literal or ridiculous justification for enjoying guns.
