Revert "Fix crash on hidpi with wayland (#6508)" #7182 Merged wez merged 1 commit into wezterm:main from bew:revert-bad-wayland-commit 1 minute ago Close #6645 Close #6998 This reverts commit d1684d3 (PR #6508). That commit caused a crash playing a lot of nvidia users on Wayland (see #6645) as well as when using Fractional Scaling (see #6998), and probably in a few other cases as well... That means #5406 will need to be re-opened & fixed differently 🤔
A GitHub pull request shows a merged revert of a Wayland and HiDPI crash fix. The comment explains that the original commit caused crashes for many NVIDIA users and with fractional scaling, so the issue must be reopened and fixed differently. The joke is a relatable software-development reaction to spending months reverse-engineering or fixing one line only to undo the change and start over.
