The Fat Goalie Hockey Joke
Why don't NHL teams just find super fat people that take up the whole net to play goalie?
A bearded man in a black cap asks why NHL teams do not use extremely large people as goalies, then a second man in a hoodie seriously claims that the Detroit Red Wings once signed the heaviest person in America in 1973. The joke ends with the reveal that the supposed hockey fact is actually an insult about the listener’s mother, prompting shocked and angry reactions. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” plays underneath, giving the escalating exchange a dramatic, absurd mood.
