Special Dead Pope Hammer

Text on the meme

My favourite new factoid is that they hit dead popes on the head three times with a special dead- pope hammer. Just to ensure they are, in fact, dead

What it means

A screenshot of a humorous post claims that dead popes are struck three times on the head with a special ceremonial hammer to confirm they are truly dead. The punchline is the absurdly specific ritual and the displayed ornate hammer, making it a reaction meme for bizarre facts and dark, deadpan humor.
