Anti-Alzheimer’s Drugs End DJ Careers
The was a study where they put EDM DJs on anti-alzheimers drugs and within 14 days all 29 participants didn’t want to be DJs anymore Abstract This study explores the effects of anti-Alzheimer's drugs on the career motivations of electronic dance music (EDM) DJs. Over a 14-day period, 29 participants who were all active EDM DJs were administered a standard dosage of a leading anti-Alzheimer's drug. By the end of the study, all participants (100%) reported a significant loss of interest in continuing their careers as DJs. Both quantitative measures of motivation and qualitative insights from interviews revealed a strong correlation between drug administration and decreased desire to engage in DJ-related activities. This paper discusses potential neuropsychological mechanisms and broader implications for the creative industries. 1 Introduction Recent advancements in neuropharmacology have demonstrated the potential of anti-Alzheimer's drugs in treating cognitive decline. However, limited research exists on how these medications affect cognitive functions unrelated to memory, such as motivation, particularly within specific occupational contexts. This study investigates the impact of such drugs on a group of individuals in a high-stress, creative career—EDM DJs.
EN: The meme shows a fake scientific paper claiming that anti-Alzheimer’s drugs made all 29 EDM DJs quit their careers after 14 days. The joke relies on the stereotype that EDM music and DJ culture are so pointless or annoying that abandoning them looks like a sign of improved memory and motivation.
