What it means

A four-step circular diagram jokes about software frameworks endlessly cycling through abstraction problems: the framework has too many concepts, abstraction reduces them but limits functionality, and new concepts are introduced to restore the missing capabilities. It is used as a reaction to overengineered frameworks and the recurring tradeoff between simplicity and flexibility.
