Text on the meme

IT'S HARD TO GET EXCITED ABOUT THESE NEW ELECTRIC VEHICLES WHEN I'VE SEEN MUCH MORE AMBITIOUS POSSIBILITIES IN FICTION. SCI-FI FAN, HUH? UHH... YEAH. SCI-FI. Pickle car Apple car Hotdog car

What it means

A comic shows a sci-fi fan unimpressed by ordinary new electric vehicles. In the next panel, her friend reveals that she is actually excited by absurd food-shaped cars: a pickle car, an apple car, and a hotdog car. The joke is that her “ambitious possibilities in fiction” are whimsical cartoon vehicles rather than advanced futuristic technology, making this useful as a reaction to fanciful or childish preferences.
