Borat Dancing Through the Morning

Me In The Morning With My Friends After I Had Suicidal Thoughts The Last Night

Borat, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, enthusiastically dances, hugs, kisses, and celebrates with villagers in a rural setting while the caption says he is with his friends the morning after having suicidal thoughts the previous night. The dark joke contrasts serious mental distress with exaggerated cheerful behavior, making the clip useful as a reaction to masking inner turmoil with forced energy and partying. TV Girl’s “Lovers Rock,” an atmospheric indie pop and dream pop song, gives the chaotic dancing a strangely romantic, detached mood and heightens the contrast.
