Lain and Shinji Swap Greetings

Hello Lain Iwakura from serial experiments lain Hello Shinji Ikari from 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン EVANGELION

EN: A four-panel collage pairs Shinji Ikari from Evangelion with Lain Iwakura from Serial Experiments Lain: the characters appear to greet each other, while the bottom frames show them in dark and surreal scenes. The joke relies on the thematic similarity between the protagonists and the cult atmosphere of both anime, so the meme is used as a reaction to existential anxiety, depression, or strange online communication.
