How's your experiment Short film going son?

What it means

A crude stick-figure filmmaker appears to be shooting a bizarre short film with a vintage camera, studio light, a burning rat, a guitarist, and a nude figure beside a man holding a bottle. The joke is the absurdly chaotic answer to a concerned question about how the experiment or film is progressing, making it useful as a reaction to an overcomplicated or disastrous project.
