Cannibalism Kiwi Mouse Joke

Cannibalism

A mouse and a larger rat appear to eat slices of kiwi from a black tray, while the caption labels the scene “Cannibalism.” The joke comes from the absurd mismatch between the innocent fruit snack and the dramatic word, implying that the kiwi slices resemble tiny victims; Mac DeMarco’s dreamy, melancholic indie-psychedelic song “Moonlight on the River” makes the simple image feel strangely profound and darkly funny.
