Me on My Day Off

Text on the meme

"Man I wish I had today's off" Me on my days off:

What it means

Travis Bickle stands motionless in his shabby apartment, then lies on the couch and suddenly curls up in restless discomfort while still wearing his clothes and boots. The joke contrasts the fantasy of having a day off with the reality of doing absolutely nothing and feeling miserable, making it a reaction for unproductive, lonely, or depressing free days. The gentle instrumental music by The Green Kingdom — “Untitled 2” — gives the clip a melancholic, dreamy mood that heightens the absurdity and resignation.
